Venue review
The musician's read
Annette Strauss Square is an open-air Dallas Arts District concert venue operated by the AT&T Performing Arts Center. The outdoor setting supports ticketed full-band concerts, festivals, and special events while keeping the audience closer to the stage than a large amphitheater. Rock, country, Americana, jazz, soul, pop, indie, and crossover acts can all fit naturally. For musicians, stage presence and outdoor projection matter, while weather and event production are practical considerations. Full bands work well, and the venue is best suited to regional and touring artists with enough draw to support a ticketed outdoor show. Strauss Square is a strong Dallas target for acts that want a professional arts-district setting without the scale of an arena.
