The musician's read
Be Here Now concentrates most concerts on Friday and Saturday in Muncie, with Wednesday and Thursday dates possible when the calendar cooperates. The band room downstairs holds 160 people inside a 420-capacity building, operates 18-and-over, and accepts all genres and all song types. Booking is handled by a complete talent-buyer contact, though the general sound-system field and formal submission requirements remain unspecified. Performer reports repeatedly praise fair treatment, helpful staff, sound, beer selection, and an enthusiastic built-in crowd, while several touring acts recommend adding local support to strengthen attendance. One account warns that an unrelated opening segment caused part of the audience to leave the band room, a useful reminder to discuss bill structure and traffic between floors before show day. Be Here Now looks strongest when touring artists bring compatible locals, confirm production and compensation in writing, and promote toward Muncie’s student audience instead of assuming four hundred people will materialize through sheer underground charm.

3UP Rooftop Lounge in downtown Carmel is a rooftop cocktail venue that actively promotes live music and upcoming events. The setting is scenic, social, and hospitality-focused, making it a natural fit for lounge-friendly acts, acoustic performers, and small bands that can complement a rooftop nightlife atmosphere. For musicians, the biggest strengths are visibility and ambiance. Performers should be comfortable playing to a mixed crowd that may be socializing as much as listening. Strong vocals, stylish presentation, and controlled dynamics are useful. 3UP is best suited to polished local performers who can create atmosphere and take advantage of the rooftop setting without relying on heavy production.
