Canopy + the Roots

City Winery Atlanta combines a working winery, restaurant, and dedicated seated concert venue at Ponce City Market. The main music room holds roughly 225 guests seated or about 300 in a reception configuration and includes a spacious stage, professional Meyer sound system, full lighting and video capabilities, a green room, and a full bar. The audience experience is centered on dinner, wine, and attentive listening rather than a standing dance floor. For musicians, the room is especially well suited to singer-songwriters, Americana, soul, jazz, acoustic rock, blues, folk, roots, and established touring artists whose fans want a close, comfortable concert experience. Strong storytelling and controlled dynamics work better here than an oversized wall of sound. Bands can be fully amplified, but presentation should fit the seated supper-club environment. The venue is a strong Atlanta target for acts with a proven following of a few hundred people, especially artists whose audience values songs and musicianship as much as nightlife energy.
