Howe Sound Taphouse & Kitchen in New Westminster is a full-service downtown restaurant and taproom with trivia, karaoke and recurring live music. Rock, acoustic and local acts fit a room where entertainment is part of the weekly rhythm rather than an occasional novelty. The crowd is social and mixed, so performers who can hook people quickly without overplaying the room should do well. The venue is 21+.
