McCabe's Guitar Shop has been selling guitars and hosting concerts since 1958, with shows Friday through Sunday and a house sound system plus an actual sound technician. This is a guitar-shop concert room, which means the audience can hear whether your song has a spine and whether your guitar is telling the truth. There is nowhere to hide behind a fog machine, thank God. The fit is acoustic, folk, singer-songwriter, roots, fingerstyle, bluegrass, and other music that can survive close listening. A strong act needs songs, tone, and a set with a real arc. Start with something that lands, move through enough contrast to keep the room awake, and do not confuse quiet with fragile. McCabe's audiences know instruments. They can smell a borrowed lick from across the aisle. Send one excellent live link, desired dates, lineup, and the practical contact information the venue requests. Keep it clean. The booking team is not waiting for a manifesto about how your music transcends categories. The music may do that. The email should not try.
