Options Jazz Lounge at Brookstreet

GigSpace Performance Studio is a 44-capacity, all-ages Ottawa room devoted to jazz, concerts, masterclasses, workshops, and music education. Public performances are available on Friday and Saturday evenings, while Friday through Sunday afternoons may suit workshops; weekdays are generally occupied by classes, rehearsals, and ongoing programs. Bookings are curated by the board, so inquiries should propose specific dates and a clear artistic fit. The deal may be a rental fee or door percentage, discussed during booking. A house sound system is available, though inputs, monitoring, microphones, backline, and technical staffing still need confirmation. Promotional material must arrive at least a month before the show, and another Ottawa concert within two weeks on either side can jeopardize the date. In a room this focused, calendar discipline is part of the performance.

Pubwells has operated in Ottawa’s Little Italy since 1991, offering a cozy British-pub setting with drinks, homemade pizzas, burgers, and live entertainment. Music is scheduled on Thursday and Saturday nights, and the 19+ room favors bluegrass, classic rock, and jazz. Booking inquiries should include a music link and preferred dates, giving the talent buyer something more useful than the traditional mysterious email reading only “available?” Capacity and production support are not confirmed, so acts need to establish PA, monitoring, microphones, backline, engineer coverage, load-in timing, and set length before accepting a show. Compensation, promotion duties, and any ticketing arrangement also require direct agreement. Pubwells suits bands whose sound fits a neighborhood-pub evening, with enough character in the room to support the music without pretending the hamburger menu is a festival rider.
