Synclaire Events Venue

Venue review

The musician's read

Synclaire Events Venue is a restored historic downtown Fargo building with three event levels, a reception hall, two-story ballroom, gallery spaces, and a custom bar. The room can seat about 400 in a theater setup and carries a 770-person fire-code capacity, giving it considerable flexibility. A Fargo-Moorhead Symphony chamber concert was held there in March 2026, showing that the space can support formal music as well as general events. Polished concert programs, chamber ensembles, and larger special-event performances should translate especially well here.

Bulldog Tap is a South Fargo sports bar and grill where occasional live music shares the room with pool, darts, blackjack and pull tabs. It is more of a neighborhood-bar booking than a dedicated concert room, so acts that can win over a mixed social crowd without relying on elaborate production should fit best. The venue is 21+.

Duane's House of Pizza is a long-running Fargo family restaurant with beer and wine service, patio activity, and occasional live-music events. Its September 2026 anniversary celebration featured Jon Jano, showing that music works here as part of a community-oriented restaurant event rather than a regular club calendar. The venue is all ages, so approachable solo performers and small acts are the natural fit. Musicians should think in terms of special events, patios, and family-friendly gatherings rather than full-production concert nights.
