1860 Schulhaus Venue occupies a restored schoolhouse built by German settlers in New Melle during the 1860s. The all-ages room holds about 90 and hosts music on selected Friday nights, with acoustic and other genres considered. It primarily operates as a rental facility. Artists and organizers should confirm the booking route, rental terms, PA, monitoring, backline, technical staffing, stage dimensions, set times, and compensation before announcing a date. The historic setting and compact capacity favor a production that respects the room rather than trying to overpower it. A useful proposal should identify the intended audience, practical equipment footprint, and preferred Friday dates; old schoolhouses have survived enough without being asked to accommodate an arena rig.

Venue review
The musician's read
The Mission in Jefferson City is an independent music club that has been presenting live bands since 2009. The venue supports styles ranging from bluegrass and alternative to rock and metal, giving musicians a true club environment rather than a restaurant or bar corner. For performers, the room offers a focused audience and a long-running live-music identity. Full bands are a natural fit, especially local and touring acts with a clear genre and energetic stage presence. The Mission is best suited to musicians who want a dedicated Jefferson City concert room with regular band programming and a scene-oriented crowd. It offers artists a straightforward stage where live music is the primary attraction.
