El Patron Mexican Bar & Grill is a Santa Clarita nightlife room that can shift from Mexican dining into a 21+ live-band night. Rock en Español, New Wave and Latin material all fit the late-night bar atmosphere. Bands with recognizable songs and enough energy to turn diners into a crowd should do well here.

The musician's read
The Olive Branch is an independent Santa Clarita arts and performance space that blends theatrical programming with live acoustic and singer-songwriter music. Folk, acoustic and variety acts fit the room better than heavy production. The setting favors performers who can make a smaller, arts-oriented audience feel part of the show.
