Read the whole thingBaxter's Speakeasy is a downtown Akron Partnership lists current recurring Speakeasy Sessions open mic and other music events. The venue functions as a music-first room rather than background entertainment, giving original and touring acts a focused audience and a defined stage environment. For musicians, a concise concert set, strong stage presence, and a realistic sense of local draw matter more than filling several hours with bar-band material. It is best suited to regional headliners, support slots, release shows, and touring acts that can take advantage of a dedicated live-performance room. Baxter's Speakeasy is worth considering for musicians whose audience size, stage setup, and live format match the venue’s scale and atmosphere.
