The Cicada is an independent Near Southside Fort Worth venue with live bands on Fridays and Saturdays plus a recurring Sunday jazz program. The room is intimate and music-forward, making rock, indie, blues, soul, jazz, Americana, singer-songwriters, and compact full bands natural fits. For musicians, the recurring schedule and direct booking route make it approachable, while the close audience rewards strong stage presence and musicianship over elaborate production. A full band can work on weekend nights, while jazz trios and smaller ensembles fit the Sunday format naturally. The Cicada is a good Fort Worth target for regional artists and developing touring acts seeking an independent room with multiple live-music formats and a neighborhood audience already accustomed to regular bands.
